I've been dissecting things for as long as I can remember. It's no surprise that I landed in this industry, given my need to know more about anything and everything. I explore root causes to get a better sense of solutions, resolutions, or just a greater understanding of things. People may consider me an "origin junkie," and I'm okay with that.
Empathy is often thrown around in product environments–as it should be–but it shouldn't be isolated to users alone. I take time to learn more about the people I lead, the engineers I partner with, what motivates the product managers I support, and most often overlooked by design, what the impact will be on business. Product environments can be fragile ecosystems, and taking the time to learn how to work as a team produces positive outcomes for everyone, including the business and users.
I'm passionate about equality, the arts, and dogs. I like balancing my digital experiences with music festivals, restaurant adventures, and exploring the great outdoors.
Everyone has a story, and I'd like to hear them. I will gladly walk in anyone's shoes to gain a deeper perspective of who they are. The core of who I am firmly sits on a foundation of creativity and compassion.
